WHY THE BRITISH POLITICAL SYSTEM IS BROKEN

We don’t need another political party… We need a peaceful revolution!
Over the last 40 years, our country has been turned into a politician’s paradise and hell for the rest of us. Ordinary people have seen the slow destruction of our towns, cities and way of life. Change and decay on a scale that is only worse during wartime.

Who is responsible? See below:

Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher – Conservative UK Prime Minister (1979 – 1990):

  • Put public housing stock (Council housing) into the hands of the bankers via mortgages. We have never recovered from this theft.
  • Undermined British industry and encouraged corporations to send manufacturing abroad.
  • Turned Britain from a country of workers who produced social and economic value into a country of consumers who, like elsewhere in the world, are addicted to ‘buying stuff’.
  • Destroyed the post-war culture of ‘public service’ replacing it with so-called ‘business efficiency’. This has led to a crisis in morale and recruitment in every public service from the police to the NHS.
  • Encourage the idea that ‘greed is good’.
Tomy Blair

Tony Blair – Labour UK Prime Minister (1997 – 2007):

  • Continued the policies above but also took us into a war many believe was unjustified.
  • Indebted young people and encouraged schools to persuade them away from skilled jobs and towards universities with no obvious long-term benefit to them.
  • Exposed the family to unbelievable stress and state interference, leading to struggling single parents and an epidemic in loneliness and mental illness.
  • Created a house price crisis where the average house price is over eight times the average annual salary, whilst the house builders throw up properties on green belt and agricultural land that no one can afford.
  • Started unexplained and unnecessary mass immigration and the collapse of our own birth rate, because to survive financially couples must work and can’t afford to have children.
  • Along with Presidents Clinton and Bush, turbo-charged the idea that ‘greed is good’.
Other Leaders

If this unfair political system doesn’t change, what will the current and future politicians do next:

  • Continue of the above direction on Thatcher and Blair.
  • Increase the cost of student loans.
  • Continue to rely on the myth that house-building and financial services will ‘grow’ Western economies.
  • Pretend that we do not need immigration when, in fact, the Western World depends on it for its survival.

Having wrecked our country and the West in general, the only things politicians can do, in every current political system, is either waffle about made-up issues or double down on removing our freedoms.

Thanks to 40 years of squabbling within our current political system, we are in a mess. This can only be fixed by real global cooperation involving ordinary working people, whose voices do not usually get heard.

HOW WE CAN FIX THE POLITICAL SYSTEM:

Collaborate

Collaboration

When humans work together we achieve much more.

Our adversarial and confrontational style of politics does not get the best results for our countries. We believe a more collaborative decision-making process which involves working people outside of the party system and existing political structures will deliver fairer and improved outcomes for us all.

No Whipping

Ban Political Whipping

We believe politicians should solely represent the people and not be controlled by their party or group.

We campaign to remove the whipping system. This means that political parties and groups will no longer be allowed to force, conjole or even bully elected individuals into voting in a certain way

Bus

Real Political Change

We will need a new bus, not a new driver who thinks the existing system works.

The fix comes from having a bottom-up system that listens and politicians who wholly represent the people rather than their political party.
